BIBLIO’s International Shipping with Asendia

Modified on Thu, 8 Aug at 12:33 PM

We're excited to introduce you to BIBLIO's partnership with Asendia, a fantastic way to simplify and make international shipping affordable. It's like sending books to your neighbor, but they're halfway across the world. Here's what you need to know in plain, friendly terms:

Why This is Great:

  • Simplicity: We've teamed up with Asendia to make sending books across borders just as easy as mailing them next door.

  • Affordability: You won't need to worry about sky-high shipping costs.

  • No Hassle: Forget about customs forms and customer phone numbers.

  • Peace of Mind: Your risk of losing packages is super low.

How It Works:

  1. This program is for orders from US sellers going to international customers who choose Standard shipping.

  2. We'll provide you with an address label for Asendia's consolidation center on your packing slip. Make sure you use this label or one that includes the full Asendia address and the BIBLIO shipment number (you'll see it in parentheses). Asendia uses this number to keep things organized and ensure safe delivery. The customer's international address should not be visible on the outside of the package.

  3. You'll also find an address label for Asendia on the top portion of the packing slip. Stick it on the outside of your package. It'll look like this:

BIBLIO Export Center

BIBLIO.com (5000000)

PO Box 71368

PHILADELPHIA, PA 19176-1368

  1. Use USPS media rate mail with tracking/delivery confirmation and share the tracking info.

  2. Once your package reaches Asendia, they take care of the shipping, and we'll handle any loss during transit.

  3. The postage credit for these orders will match the rate you've set in your shipping matrix for standard US shipping.

Some Things to Note:

  • This program doesn't cover orders priced at $250 or more, multi-volume sets, or expedited orders. Use your usual rates and procedures for these.

  • If your package is over 4 lbs. or can't be shipped in one box, you can opt out of the Asendia program and use your regular shipping method. After you opt any order out of Asendia you can request additional postage for direct shipment if needed, using the option to Adjust Charges.

  • If you already have cheaper or faster shipping methods, feel free to opt out of Asendia.

What Customers Will See:

Rates will vary depending on the destination country. It's calculated based on our Asendia rate for that country and your standard US rate. Here are some examples:

  • Canada: $17.02

  • UK: $20.62

  • Australia: $21.09

  • Czech Republic: $16.19

What If You Don't Ship from the US?

If you're not in the US but use a US-based shipping matrix, contact us to ensure your account is set up correctly. Asendia's program is for sellers shipping from a US address to an Asendia consolidation center in the US.

How to Give Customers Asendia Tracking Info:

We'll send all tracking links to customers via email for both domestic and international shipments. Sometimes, these emails might land in their spam folder. Once the item reaches the Asendia consolidation center and gets sent internationally, customers can track it on the Asendia tracking site. You can also find the same tracking info in your order details.

Where Asendia Ships:

Asendia can ship to most countries, except for Ascension Island, Bolivia, Falkland Islands, North Korea, and Somalia.
